THE 61st annual Dectomax Shorthorn National Sale topped at $32,000 for bulls and $8000 for females yesterday online. Overall 55 of 60 bulls sold for a $8236 average (up from $6740 in 2019), while four of five females sold and averaged $5125.
SHORTHORN bulls found new homes in five states and share purchases from New Zealand at the 60th annual Dectomax Dubbo Shorthorn National show and sale on Tuesday and Wednesday. In a 47 per cent auction clearance 54 bulls from a 115 head offering sold at a $6741 average and after seven post auction sales a total of 61 bulls averaged $6426.
The 58th Dectomax National Shorthorn Show and Sale has posted a very solid result despite extremely trying seasonal conditions across much of the sales traditional catchment area. 124 Shorthorn sires sold to a top of $40,000 to average $6,835. (Top priced bull at $40,000 – Royalla Tremain M260)
